The Fishing in San Diego Bay has been red hot lately and is a nice alternative to the Inshore Fishing when the weather does not want to cooperate. Spotted bay bass, Sand Bass, and Calico bass all continue to bite throughout the bay on plastics and live bait. The Spotted bay bass fishing really picks up when you get south of the Coronado Bridge. The Halibut fishing remains excellent and we managed to catch 3 legals between 24-28” on a recent half day trip. We released about a dozen shorts and one hard fighting Horn shark. You just never know what you are going to catch in the protected waters of San Diego Bay!
