The Calico Bass fishing has been off the hook the last few days! They are biting on plastics, surface iron, jerk baits, spinner baits, pretty much however you want to catch them. The Barracuda have also filled in well along the kelp beds and are biting surface iron and jigs. Some Yellowtail are also beginning to show along the south side of the Point Loma Kelp Beds. These fish have been working bait schools under the birds and are willing to eat a well presented surface iron. Rockfish continue to bite along the edge of the kelp beds and there has also been some decent Sand Bass action in the Imperial Beach Area. July is booking up quick, don’t miss your chance to get in on this awesome fishing!
